Court Booking Rules

  1. Booking Access: Booking of courts is exclusive to members via the Online Court Booking feature within the Members Area of our website.
  2. Reservation Limits:
    • Members can book courts for themselves, other members, and guests up to 6 days in advance (for instance, on Monday starting from 8:01 am, reservations can be made until the end of the following Sunday; similarly, on Tuesday, bookings can be made for the subsequent Monday, and so forth)
    • Singles reservations require two names; doubles reservations require four names at the time of booking.
    • Bookings are open until the hour of play. For example, if a court is unreserved at 3:01 pm for the 3:00–4:00 pm slot, it becomes unavailable for booking.
    • Contact: info@leasidetennis.org for any further inquiries.
  3. Booking Restrictions:
    • PRIME TIME HOURS - 7:00 am – 12:00 pm; 5:00 pm – Close, daily
    • Members are permitted a maximum of three advance prime time bookings per week, regardless of court type or play (singles/doubles). Example: If a member has reservations for Tuesday at 8:00 pm, Saturday at 5:00 pm, and Friday at 7:00 pm, they must finish their Tuesday match before making a new reservation.
    • Booking under another member's name without their consent is PROHIBITED. In addition, courts booked under another member’s name must be booked with the genuine intent of that member to use the court. To ensure transparency and accountability, members receive email notifications for all bookings in their name.
    • Any misuse or circumvention of booking policies may result in disciplinary actions.
  4. Daytime Court Bookings:
    • DAYTIME HOURS: 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm, daily
    • Members can book an additional two hours of court time during daytime hours.
    • Daytime bookings do not count towards the three-booking limit during Prime Time. Daytime hours are displayed on the court booking system in BLACK text. Prime Time hours are displayed in RED text.
    • Singles members can book a court for one hour, under two names. Doubles players can book two consecutive hours, using four names (NOTE: a 2-hour daytime doubles booking counts as one booking for all four players, meaning that all players would have one more daytime booking available in either singles or doubles).
    • If the courts are not booked before or after a member’s reservation, daytime walk-ons are possible as dictated by the court monitor.
  5. Guest Policy:
    • If a member booked a court with a guest(s), members are required to pay a $10 fee (HST included), per guest. All fees must be paid online at the time of booking. FEES CANNOT BE PAID IN PERSON AT THE CLUB.
    • In addition to the fee, all guests are required to sign waiver in the clubhouse before playing.
  6. Check-In:
    • Members must check in with the court monitor upon arrival, before proceeding to their reserved court. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early.
    • You must play on the court booked, unless otherwise directed by the court monitor.
  7. Cancellations / No-Shows:
    • Members must cancel reservations at least one hour before the reserved time.
    • Cancellations can be made by phone or in person with the court monitor, or via email (info@leasidetennis.org).
    • If the club cancels a reservation for any reason, guest fees will be refunded to the member’s account.
  8. Consequences for Rule Violations:
    • 1st Offence: Warning - If a member is found to misuse their membership, they will receive a warning via email.
    • 2nd Offence: One-week suspension of booking privileges - If a member is found to misuse their membership for a second time, their booking privileges will be suspended for 7 days. If you are suspended, you will receive an email notifying you of the suspension. During this period, you will not be able to log into the booking system and your name will not be available to be booked by the Club or any other member. Any existing bookings will also be cancelled.
    • 3rd Offence: One-month suspension of booking privileges - If a member is found to misuse their membership for a thir time, their booking privileges will be suspended for one month, with the same restrictions as the second offence above.
    • 4th Offence: Possible permanent suspension or revocation of membership - If a member is found to misuse their membership for a fourth time, they may face permanent suspension or a revocation of their Leaside Tennis Club membership.
